Students with dyslexia need to make sure all the math work they do is neat and all steps are clearly understood. It is best if these students use 1/4 inch graph paper for recording their math work.
Why does this matter? When the dyslexic brain sees written material, it is important for that material to be a clear picture. Writing math work on graph paper makes the steps clear and organized and helps the student do the logic in the math work.
Another tool for dyslexic students to use in math is an erasable pen. Frixion is one really erasable pen. It is easy for the student to see the darker print.
